With Sparticarse, Dan and Matt, it's unlikely to be a quiet sherbet. :) However, I'll be having a quiet bevy in Portsmouth.

Going straight down on the Tuesday......a crossing with a hangover is not good and the first day is always the longest

There's 8 of us staying in the Premier Inn. I feel it's unlikely to be a quiet sherbet there either.

It's a long full day on the Tuesday with a 2am finish at the earliest and from experience you won't sleep the Monday night either as you will all be too excited.

Dr Conaero prescribes 4 pints and in the sack by 11 and no more or later to aid sleep.

I'll be cracking on with the itinerary tomorrow and you will have something by next weekend with all the tickets given out on the day at the 7am meeting point on top of Portsdown hill.

I do have all the ferry, race and parking tickets at the office.

If you have any good/funny Le Mans pics can you email them to: admin@sportsmaserati.com for inclusion in the programme.

It'll be an early one for me on the Monday. I'll have done 450 miles or so to get to Portsmouth. I vote for the Newcastle-Amsterdam route next year, although some may get sidetracked in the Dam.

That's not entirely daft - Team South can leave from Harwich and we can meet in La Vie en Rose for an evening stiffener.

Harwich is a good option and we all meet in Dam for a night....then travel to France....excellent...is 1 night in Dam enough? nah

Amsterdam is pretty mundane now in lots of ways. It even closes fairly early. But with some excellent restaurants and world-class cultural possibilities - the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are inspired and breath-taking - I actually think it's the discerning gentleman traveler's way-point of choice. Not only that, you can get as ****** as Benny's wheelnuts for a lot less money than a new set from Sprogs, so it's pretty cost-efficient, too

What's not to like??

Well if we are going ahead with the autumn 2018 SM tour of the Viking lands it sounds like a breakaway extension for the return leg.... just a suggestion!

Eh, yeh, whatever Adam !! I was there about a month ago and the first night we got back to the hotel at 8am. Didn't seem to be too difficult to find an establishment that had no concept of closing times !! It is the worst place to drive a car into though. Tinder Boy and I drove my Gransport up a pavement when looking for a car park on the way back from the Modena trip. I swear it looked exactly like a road.....except for all the chained up bicycles...and the scooters !!

Shush, man! I'm trying to paint it all civilised instead of it being a melting pot of every filthy vice and sin know to man.

I do agree, though, driving in Amsterdam is just pointless.

I was in Amsterdam for new year. And even with my parents being with us and my sensible wife I still managed to get back at silly o'clock in the morning one night.
I think it would be wise to avoid Amsterdam completely if we actually want to go somewhere afterwards!
