Language and culture are big issues which people neglect to consider before going.

as englishmen we do expect other cultures to take ours in....i have seen many english people who expect restaurants to cook a roast or an english brekkie...some tell them we dont do this and then it puts the english off the country....

different country means take in their culture, their food...

Thing is, Americans, you can almost forgive them as it's clear they really can't be expected to have any idea. Like children. The brits, OTOH, seem to take a perverse delight in being offensive.

Don't know where you're going to, but i see that Andy and Dave are coming to Italy to retire.. We'll sit at a bench on a lake and remember all the good times at the Paris motor show, fifty years back And we'll be calling Parisien, who will be having some 10 houses around Paris
