Thumping noise when changing down gear in 2003 cambiocorsa

Hi guys.. new here and just bought a 2003 cambiocorsa..

love the car but there seems to be a bit of thumping noise when i change down gear from 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st... and sometimes a little when changing up from these gears.. anyone who has any advice would be appreciated.. apart from that car drives lovely!!

First thought is check your wheel bolts!!! Do you have a current clutch reading and parameters? Likely to be clutch, hopefully just set too aggressively or check the anti roll bar bushes as they clunk after failure. Good luck and let us know what you find.

A 'bit' of a thump is possibly OK. A lot of a thump may be a problem. What's the service history like?

Must say, mine never thumps, going up or down the box.
As said could be lots of different things certainly needs a good inspection, check for any backlash anywhere etc.
Is it high mileage?
