Tilting car lifts

I haven't the height for a 1m hydraulic scissor lift (I'd crush the car roof) and quite like one of these:

However for half the price can have one of these:

I know one is rated at 3t and the other 2t, but is the CJ Auto a poor imitation?

Anyone bought either?

Did consider the Quick Jack scissor lift but really I can't see the advantage and of course you can't tilt.

Thanks.

I like the idea of that, but how many modern cars actually have a chassis rail/sill that can support the weight of a vehicle anymore?

I'd assume you'd need spreader bars/pads etc to actually pickup the approved lifting points or you may risk bending something.

Good point actually with all the plastic sill covers.

I have the tilting lift from Automotech. I needed the version that has adjustable width so it could be used with the Midget.
Very pleased with it. Midget is only 800kg (or so) so the lift raises it easily either with the hand crank or the power drill.

When you find the centre of gravity you can raise the car then lift it by hand to level it. There are steel pins to lock it in position, but I used lengths of timber fore and aft to stabilize the car before climbing under.

The Midget has a low exhaust pipe so I drive on to some lengths of wood before sliding the lift under.
