Well Joe, your username gives some indication to your age...I know a gentleman should never ask!

Me, I am a child of '72 so you have a couple of years on me but I guess we grew up in the same era musically.

Early 80's electronic I love, up until about '85 then it went a bit whishy washy.

Like you I like some alternative stuff, Placebo being one of them, they did a rendition of Kate Bush's Running up that hill, its one of my 'Desert Island Disc' dark.

So I guess you would deduce I like early Cure too, Cult. Modern stuff, no thanks, 90's well, I was a fan of Brit Pop in '95 when Britain was the center of the music scene again, if only briefly.

I have never had an issue with my age ... actually ... thats not strictly true .... I have a little OCD and in a few days I will be 45 ... all I keep thinking is .. I cant wait to be 46 ...

Yup ... early 80's and agree about it all going a bit rubbish from 85 onwards .. and yes to the groups you have mentioned .. and a few more too it kind of starts from late 70's .. in fact no ... 60's ....but they will come out in time to come ..
