oh? Do tell. At first blush it looks like the weatherstripping in the corner by the mirror is bunching up. Is this something you've seen? Remedy is to just live with it?
Spray some silicone down there and see if it improves otherwise a strip down and good clean of the debris that gets in there.

Took her out for a short spin today as the rain let up for a bit. ohhhhh such fun, even just tooling around town.

The winter to do list is rounding down!

1. Finish the sticky removal
2. Heater core, when received from Brassworks. While the dash is apart:
- replace dashboard clock, mine is stopped.
- remove and re glue leather on the steering wheel airbag to remove bubbles
- Loud link Bluetooth install
- replace all instrument panel bulbs while it’s out
- install cup holder while seats are out
3. Fuel filler cap seal kit install to fix check engine light from vapor recovery system
4. Carpet and floor mat clean/repair/replace

5. Repaint rear bumper (some parking impacts)
6. Trunk lock inoperable
7. Rear glove box doesn’t shut properly (need to tighten support brackets inside the capote, very fun to reach)
8. Replace elastic pouch behind seats
9. Replace wheels, the stock wheels are just atrocious and painful to look at

Add two to the list:
10. Driver's side window stops when nearly up, then can be shut by inching it up incrementally. Not sure if the problem is in the door weatherstripping or the mechanism.
11. Long term solution to the gearshift lockout sleeve so I don't have to 3D print one every six months.

If anyone has a gearshift lockout sleeve in excellent condition, I'll gladly pay to have it 3D scanned, and of course comp you for your trouble. Would be beneficial to all of us to have a really good STL file scan of that part, then we can experiment with different materials to see what works best. The car is atrocious to drive with the sleeve worn down, and when broken, the entire gearshift assembly, disassembles itself in your hand.

Going to an indy body shop for an estimate on the bumper, and for kicks, an estimate for a complete redo of the paint job, as it has all the usual little nicks on the hood from highway driving, and some very minor door dings that bug me when washing the car.

Wheels. Tried talking a member here into shipping his gold 4200 wheels to me from the UK, but haven't heard back from him. Might have to go with the Formula Dynamics wheels if they'll give me a deal.

Window. Excellent weekend project to disassemble the door, get it all cleaned up on the inside, and see what we're dealing with.

Yeah...driver's door on mine. There were only three clips, for some reason...and the material deflected some. Another clip and a little light spray adhesive, along with some reconditioner (which I don't think did much) resolved it.

Those are looking pretty sweet, although priced a bit high for OEM wheels.... but I want them, so there you go. Like these *so* much better than the FD wheels for their Italian flair.

annnnnd, purchased. Throwing caution to the wind. Is "sopranostu" on here? If so, you're welcome for the no haggle purchase. Looking forward to seeing these on my Spyder!

Next step: repaint the rear bumper and do a paint correction over the whole car. I thought I’d been cleaning her up pretty well, but after receiving her back from the professionals… well, see below for how a 21 year old car that wasn’t in all that good a condition can be brought back to life.

As a bonus, they buffed the headlight covers until clear.

Not much left to do! She’s gorgeous inside and out, no fault lights, no niggles to work around, ready for the sunshine and twisty roads!!

The colour has grown on me, but this wheel style still leaves me feeling cold. 8 spoke refurbished wheels are being shipped this week from the UK to remedy that!

For my last 4200 i had both sets.
The Asetto Corsa style are harder to keep brake dust at bay for sure but I like them.

Changed mine, much improved I feel.
Nope, sorry but still prefer the originals . But it is all in personal preference, and in truth the car suites many different wheels.
I did toy with the Idea of Chrome wire wheels after all if a jag could have them, why not a Maserati. However on pricing, it was £2.250.00 per wheel! So dream on!

Wheels… complete! Had some Michelin PS4 All Seasons lying about (from the previous Coupe). Wheels without any curb rash - such an improvement. Though I should get new center caps eventually.

All the big repairs are done! The only remaining little things are the rear glove box door adjustment, and figuring out a permanent solution to the shifter sleeve. Well… also should replace the top but am balking at getting anything without the proper glass window.

Looks fantastic!

...I just bought the whole lock assembly from Eurospares and swapped over the cylinder to fix the rear box. Same boat/opinion re: top.
