Tpms bs

Hiya guys, I'm getting a bit fed up with the BS surrounding TPMS replacements on my QP.

I had some decent quality replacements fitted at a tyre specialist, cloned the original codes, all should be well, yeah? - No, of course not. Tried the calibration setup recommended in the book, I've pressed the calibration button a hundred times, done it over distance at a decent speed, still nothing. I've had the TPMS sensors all checked, they're all shouting out the code number as they should in 433MHz Maserati-used frequency.

The MD that I use has told me "well if it's not genuine Maserati parts they probably won't work, and we don't have a machine here that can read the codes anyway so we can't check them, we use a different system". Perhaps I'm being cynical, but if I've had the numbers cloned, the frequency is 433MHz, it's a quality brand fitted by people who know what they're doing, shouldn't it just work???

I've read on the various forums about the most bizarre ideas around thus subject, including one who said that you need to buy a new CPU to match the new sensors (bull***t). Can someone clarify the truth about TPMS and save us all some money and any more BS. - Cheers
