Hi Bob.

I bought the same part listed by Outrun and co. in this thread.

As Mr K mentioned, the part is actually OEM so no problems.

Good stuff!

Did yours come with new valve stems? The one I bought last year did. However the previous owner of my current car had all 4 replaced by a main dealer, but they left the old valve stems in. I wonder if the Maserati-supplied part doesn't come with a stem.

Did 4 yesterday on a 08 GT no new valve stems. Error still on dash and you can't re calibrate using the mode button and go for a drive.
With the Diagnosi I have to find the original I'd numbers for each wheel and then put in the new number for each one.
Clear the faults and the light goes off.
Take her for a drive and calibrate and all good.
Can't see how you Guys put in the sensors and they work OK?

Just as a further note to this, I ended up having to buy a new TPMS Control unit as well.

The TPMS failure light came back after a few days.

Brought it to a specialist who cleared the faults but informed me the light keeps coming back because of a failed TPMS control unit (located under the mat of the front passenger side).

Apparently it's a known fault that sometimes the Control Unit fails at the same time as the TPMS valves.

Only just spotted this thanks to the new post. No idea why you have to code but others don't, but the OEM manufacturer says there's no need to programme them. My experience is limited to one broken sensor (clumsy tyre fitter), where I never had an error to clear in the first place.

I do have a question - you mention replacing senors, not stems. Do the Maserati-supplied ones not come with new stems? My current car had new sensors ftted by a main dealer (Maranello, Egham, UK) and they did not fit new stems. I wasn't impressed as the OEM ones are much cheaper and come with stems. I've just had my wheels refurbished and guess what, 3 of the 4 stems were corroded siezed, so I had to buy a new set. Maranello should have replaced them IMO - unless the sensors don't come with them. The previous owner spent about £1k with them just on the TPMS system - new sensors plus diagnostics. The sensor batteries had expired and they re-seated the TPMS module cable as far as I can tell. Hopefully they did the obvious first as the batteries are known to last about 5 years and this would have been timed right to be the 2nd set.

Incidentally, I bought my new stems from here - £36 for 4 delivered: https://www.tpmswarehouse.co.uk/
NB The part for the QPV is RDV001 or RDV021. I bought the RDV021 as they don't stock the RDV001.

From Maserati they only send the sensors and yes more often than not on a 8 year old cat the control unit needs doing at the same time.
