Ok guys just bought new tyres for car, daft questions maybe but where in the wheels are the tpms sensors?

I suspect on changing tyres the TPMS will need recalibrated?

They are valve based so when you take the tyre off, you should see a (usually orange) plastic box attached to the inside part of the valve. Shouldn't need replaced with new tyres.

Press and hold the reset button. On the GranTurismo it is right of the steering wheel but on the QPV I think it is in the overhead panel.

The TPMS system will need to be re-calibrated. This can usually be achieved by pressing and holding the calibration button. On my 2006 QP this is mounted overhead. (It may be different on your model) An on screen message 'calibration activated' will then appear. (No tyre pressure information can be obtained during the calibration process.) It is then necessary to drive for ten minutes or so after which current tyre pressures can be displayed. Hopefully the tyre fitters will have returned each wheel to exactly the same position on the car. If not the numbers (each sensor has an individual number) and new positions will have to be obtained and then entered into the SD3 by a vehicle technician for successful re-calibration.

Would normal fitters such as quik fit be able to do this fine? I just don't want another trip to the dealer to hand cash over.

I've never has a problem with that on the various cars I have had with TPMS. IIRC some of the systems are so clever that they do not need the wheels to go back in the same place, for example my Land Rover has a full size spare and that is monitored and could go anywhere on the car. I've not had to use it yet but I can't think there would be a problem!

If the Maserati system is not such then at least you can only get the wheels wrong in one way given the split sizes front/back. I would not worry about it.
