Tracker subscriptions

Is it true that the tracker on a GT Sport can only have an ADR subscription at over £300 a year?

Googling and searching on here suggested a passive option (where you call them if the car gets nicked) was available at half that....but I've been told not.

My GT has a Navtrack tracker on it. Subscription was a similar cost but having it made no difference to the insurance premium (perhaps because it is garaged?) so I didn't bother renewing. It's still on the car so I keep a trickle charger on since trackers are known to be a battery drainer.

Don't know about the passive option I'm afraid.
