I saw them a couple of weeks ago Mike when they went over head returning to Biggin Hill from the Eastbourne show - got a couple hastily taken photos, was a sight to behold - big lump in the back of the throat!

Earlier in the summer I went up to Lincolnshire and had an incredible day at the East Lincs Airfield with highlight being a taxi ride in the Lancaster around the old airfield - highly recommend it, incredible experience!

One was "parked" outside the hospitality area for the veterans at Leuchars airshow a few years back when we provided the entertainment. Very impressive. :)

I've seen a few fly over the years but not two together.
The sound must be amazing... Which my wife very kindly confirmed!
Thanks for that wifey!

The normal one is the one belonging to the Battle Of Britain Memorial flight but this season it has been joined by the Canadian one. I think they are the only 2 still flying.

Hes just two airworthy left, but they hope to get the one in Lincs in the air one day...but to do that they have to take it apart to have everything checked in oder to get their certificate of air worthy-ness...lots of x-days etc, which it would have never had when it was new.

We watched them fly over the full length of Lake Windermere yesterday at the end of the Leeds Supercar Meet run. The sound was awesome but I must admit until I saw them I wasn't sure if it was 2 Lancasters or just Benny passing.

Just Jane the one at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre has done a taxi run with the rear wheel of the ground. The three of them had planned a day last week but Vera the Canadian one has had to have a new engine, they did there fly over yesterday

This was taken a while ago from over our house the sound is fantastic and really deep.

They have set a new date for the 3 Lancs together Clive - not sure when but it is due to happen now.

Yes Just Jane - an incredible experience. Took my dad with me, an amazing experience and something we never thought we'd ever be able to do. The sound and smell of the engines is incredible. 55,000 men died serving in Bomber Command, frightening statistic - we are forever indebted....

Saw one a couple of weeks ago (at the time I think the other was under maintenance) fly from Teesside
Incredible machines and many many brave men
Watched **** Busters (again) on TV last night
Full of admiration for men and machines

Was on Latrigg in the Lakes yesterday when the 2 planes flew over Derwent Water - a classic combination of machines, scenery and good weather!
