Thinking about it, the box I haven't ticked for a very long time is the very light sports car so engine config not such an issue. I had so much fun in all four 205Gti (2x 1.6 and 2x 1.9) but I don't really fancy a hot hatch. I rented an MX5 in South Australia in '92 and enjoyed it so much I bought one on my return. Since then it has been mostly AMGs, Ms, and generally lots of power with quite a few kgs. Perhaps a Caterham (if I only want to drive on my own!) or Alpine (ingress/egress not good in Exige). Something to dream about for a while for when/if more car funds become available.......

and suspect a small fortune to buy and maintain - 'you want a wheel bearing for a ? can you spell that'.....
