Let me introduce myself – I bought a 2008 Gransport, Grigio Nuvolari, beige full leather from ADG, in January. It was my 70th birthday present to me with a personalised number plate from my wife.
I had all the usual problems: - flat battery, alarm going off caused my mobile phone and excessive tramlining cured by four-wheel geometry set up and new rubber.
All sorts of other questions solved by the power of the forum – thank you all for your past inputs.
My problem now is that I like driving it fast and if I am not careful I can see my driving licence being taken by Mr Plod!
I look forward to meeting some of you at future events to moan about the crappy electrics on Maserati's – I am an auto electrician still wiring racing cars so this is dear to my heart.
I plan to fit a blue tooth, programmable gear shift light and a louder indicator buzzer.
Regards Alan
P.S. I think I have posted some photos

Welcome you're obviously the same as Robert Hodroyd
Good stuff from my experience 35 years in the game Maserati electrics as good as any other manufacturer
To be fair it's when inexperienced people mess with them especially down here fitting aftermarket Chinese rubbish.

I have a friend in his 70s, you're both cut from the same cloth, he had a civic type R, on a dual carriageway some young upstart overtook him so he gave it the beans, went over the brow of a hill to find a roundabout the other side which he didn't make it round.

when the cops got there they went straight to the young lad, err it's that guy over there

That's a lovely colour combination, I hope it brings you many years pleasure

Alan, welcome to the forum and what a fabulous car. Nuvolari is my second favourite colour, it's stunning.

I'm based in Northampton and there's Zep in Earls Barton. Let me know if you fancy a spirited blast!

Don't know about louder buzzer but I did glean this how to for installing 'soft' indicators (cancel after three flashes) I cannot remember the author but I recall it was continental possibly German. I never actually got to do this to mine so no idea if it is correct...

Hello!

Today I installed in my Spyder a comfort indicator of the company Pekatronic. Maybe for the one or the other is here in the forum interesting. I just do not want the highway driving should hold the turn signal

Here is the link to the module (please do not understand as advertising).

Below I've documented the installation in short:
1. Steering panel at the top and bottom, so that the entire steering column is exposed. This includes all Allen screws on the bottom. The two black plastic shells are also bolted to the front with two small Phillips screws miteineinander. This gets you away by your steering wheel at 90 degrees to the right or left turns and then the screws removed successively.

2. On the steering column 4-pin connector (only 3 cables are used) to remove the turn signals (left). Here is a picture with the already soldered cables:

01.jpg

You must connect the following cables to each other:
HARNESS VEHICLE PEKATRONIC MODULE
1. gray / yellow - (not used)
2. (not used) -
3. White Brown
4. white / black-gray
Then we see the result:

02.jpg

3. Next, head first look into the driver's footwell and up. There you will find a green module (at the top above the Digitec controller and right next to the blue controller). It looks like a normal relay. The bolted from their (8-way nut) and put it in the direction of the steering control to the bottom. Thus, for wiring the whole thing still somewhat reasonable. Except for the mass you can find all other connections required by the Pekatronic module. It will look something like this:

03.jpg

Here the assignment of the cable:
HARNESS VEHICLE PEKATRONIC MODULE
blue / black blue
Blue Green
purple, yellow and red

The mass for the Pekatronic your module concludes with a spade on at any appropriate place. I have the 8-mother, who holds the Digitec module, used to.

4. Now test it and look

5. Everything for installation.

Greetings!

P.S.: sorry for the lousy pictures. Because RIM is to blame. I really hope that future Blackberrys have a better camera ...

One thing I noted was that Lex mentioned a blue cable in the bundle leading to the relay socket. In mine (-06 GS Spyder) this cable was blue&pink.

Welcome indeed, I have to say the background of your pics isn't a part of Wellingborough I'm familiar with...

A spirited drive would be a good introduction!
