Can anyone recommend fix variator problem and chain replacement maybe ?

Having done a few all I can recommend is that the job is done properly as per factory procedures.
It could just be a variator solenoid but it could be everything.
Needs checking properly.

Exactly right, and quite easily a broken lower chain tesioner or a combination of all four in typical Italian style.

Yep I had tensioner broken. Found during variator replacement at sports italia
