Realistically I'm a bit bolloxed for this year - I'm away all the previous week, so that doesn't work, and we still have the challenge of Crud minor being back at school and needing someone around to make sure he doesn't burn the house down. A week would be a big ask of the grandparents.

UPDATE

All Centenary Club Members should have received the official email.

The Sailing will be on the Friday evening at 5pm now and not the Saturday due to the Sat sailing having no facilities...you would have to sit in your cabin for 30hrs and go mad!

Dear Centenary Club Member

Due to the success of the 2014 Maserati Centenary Euro Trip, we are planning another trip for 2017.

Being a Centenary Club Member you get first refusal on the limited availability for this trip.

Full details can be found here: http://www.sportsmaserati.com/showthread.php/22551-Viva-España!-2017-Euro-Trip

Dates are confirmed as September 22nd (5pm sailing from Portsmouth) to 1st October 2017.

We will be taking the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander on the Friday evening getting into Santander at 17:00 on the Saturday.

There will be then a week of coastal and mountain driving, taking in the historic and cultural side of Northern Spain. Places such as Barcelona, Girona, San Sebastian & Andorra.

The trip will end the following weekend in Southern France with a Gala Meal on the Saturday night.

The return leg will be driving back to Northern France and taking the ferry back to the UK. I will give Centenary Members till the end of Feb to decide if they wish to attend or not before releasing any remaining space to the general members on the forum.

As for costs, once again, SportsMaserati.com do not profit from these trips so you will only pay for what you get but to give you some idea, the ferry outbound is £350 (cheaper than driving there with tolls) for 2 and a car inc a cabin, the return ferry will be £50-100 depending upon which port you prefer. Hotel for 2 each night inc breakfast will be circa £80 and any other meals and beverages will be down to you to cover but lunch and dining locations will be provided for each day en route.

So as a guide, £900 will cover your ferries, hotel and breakfast.

Expected mileage to cover, overseas only, is circa 2k, so 5/6 tanks plus tolls ~ £600

This gives you an estimated all in cost of: £1,500 based on 2 sharing, additional food and beverages down to the individuals naturally.

We will be taking a deposit on this one of £500 per car which will be used to pay for your travel and accommodation.

Please reply to me at: admin@sportsmaserati.com or register your interest in the thread above.

Kind regards

I'm in, and so is the handbrake. FWIW, I reckon 15 cars should be the limit.

In with SteveM as co-pilot at this time, Do we know the Mediterranean destination so we can look at flying the spare parts out for a few days in the sun?

I am imposing a 21 car limit, just because we get a discount if we make that number.

Anymore than that then booking hotels becomes a right pain and have to split hotels.

I also have several non CC members who know about this and are waiting to grab any remaining seats...one who said he was desperate to book so I told him if he wants priority, make the £100 donation to BCRT and then you can claim the place as a CC member....he declined to do so.

I will need help with this trip too so don't all rush at once will you. Actually Benny, you do F'all you can help me!
