Hi Adam, The part number is 980138218. Just a note of caution, I can see that the part number changes between '03 and '04, but I can't be certain that it means this is the part that's on your Spyder, but a call to Eurospares will hopefully confirm. The page indicates USA/Canada, but it's the same diagram number for EU also. Hope this helps, Cheers, Emtee.
Resurrecting as this is now a problem in the supply chain.
I purchased a problematic 2003 Spyder (separate thread of the re-build), and one of the problems was a recurring Check Engine Light throwing codes for the vapor recovery system. Chased a few solenoids and sensors, then figured out that the fuel cap gasket was non-existent. Having had a later model Coupe, I wasn't familiar with the earlier 2002-2003 fuel cap, and didn't notice.
Looking for 980138218 gasket kit, and it's showing NLA. Anyone know of an Alfa or other equivalent?
Yep, that is the same as the Coupe and late 2003 and later Spyders. The early Spyders have a weird fuel cap that requires you to spin it several times to tighten, not the typical 1/2 turn. I'll dig into that though, maybe there's an older version of the Alfa cap as well.I think the 4200 used the same fuel cap as the alfa 166.
Is this the part your looking for

FWIW my 2002 Spyder has exactly this kind of fuel cap as well. I quite like it, I thought they were all like that. It needs a good clean from time to time though.
They were available from eurospares. I got a new one a couple of years ago. The grey breather bit becomes detached after a while, but it can be glued back in so long as the vent holes are not blocked
