Warning Light

Can someone tell me what the warning light is directly to the right of the oil warning light. Mine came on this afternoon & now I have lost reverse gear.

I am assuming it is the oil level for the gear change pump?

How do you top it up?

Thanks Lee

CC Gearbox "failure " light........beeps when it comes on....could be anything......to do with gearbox.......same as my current problem!!!

But reverse engages........other symptoms?

Thanks P

Have booked it into Millbrooke @ Sheffield in the morning. Saw the thread on the F1 pump but it looks as if mine was changed not long before I got the car.
In my mind if the oil level has dropped it must have gone somewhere so I think it is best to get it checked.

True...but no sign of a leak on your garage floor etc....in mine its the electrics of the reverse mechanism

The lamp to the right of the engine oil pressure warning lamp is the CC gearbox warning lamp. It indicates a failure in the gearbox, so not necessarily the F1 pump (though it may be). In my experience it can come on occasionally in heavy traffic (the software riding the clutch), but if you've lost reverse I would have clutch wear and PIS settings read as well as the F1 oil level. Do you hear the F1 pump priming when you unlock the car?

Hi Guys

Thanks for the input,

Oil level was low so has been topped up & gearbox functions etc. fully checked on SD2 everything OK.

There was a fault recorded on the reverse select lever but this is quite common according to the guy's at Millbrooke, which has been cleared.

Wonder if this could be your problem P?

Happy motoring continues for now at least.

Problem persists...its the circuitry board.....fault clears but then comes back.........reverse is obtainable, but need to put into neutral first then be very precise in its movement!
