Water in footwell 3200 GT

Has any experienced water in the rear nearside footwell? I am hoping it was just a window that wasn't quite seated properly but it really was very, very wet.

I had a leak from the petrol filler cap that ran onto the parcel shelf and then to the seat base and into the rear footwell it was predominantly the right but it did get both sides wet.

It was the gasket that sealed between the filler pipe and the body, cured by undoing it and applying some Rolls Royce blue.
