Hi All
I have been lurking on the forum gathering as much information as I could before I took the plunge of buying a 4200 CC. Well I took possession the other day of a 03 model, and so far I love every minute of it. Had a nice drive back home (best part of 350 miles) to get used to her, and am surprised just how much poky and nimbler she feels compared to my previous car (a Jag XKR) despite the stats on paper looking more or less the same. And to top it off it has the WAF in that I can get a seat for my 3 year old, and a second seat for my 6 week old in the back, so sort of a family motor (well providing no luggage). Well the car i have bought is not perfect, there are a few niggles, but I’m sure they will all be ironed out very soon (air con being re-gassed tomorrow). It was a Cat D, and subject to some discussion in the forum. I went in to it with my eyes open, and once i had been through all the documentation, spoken to the previous 2 owners, had the inspection etc was a lot more comfortable with the car. I guess time will tell if it was a good or bad descision so fingers crossed.
Already ordered the DBW and set of Larini back boxes to help with the sound which is the only thing slightly lacking compared to my XK.
