Those are ludicrously cheap to get into a 488. I thought it was a spam / hoax when I received it.
The obvious problem is that the quotes price is for a basic car. To get a good spec you are adding on 40k in options.
Still think it's too cheap to be true. Has anyone contacted them?
I don't like the new Ferrari turbo versions - N/A ones sound so much better

I know your answer will be carbon, Iain, and I accept that but it wrong with a low spec car. Mate spoke to DL about ordering a low spec car and they were not keen to take an order, talking about flying out to spec the car, factory tour, lunch etc.

Last time I was in DL Sporting I was informed that the average Ferrari delivered in the U.K. Has £74k of options. Apparently they will take your order for a standard car but it will never be built as your build slot will keep slipping behind more profitably specified cars. I wonder what the margin is paying for a Giallo rev counter?!

Glad it's not just me, much prefer a 458 over a 488

100% with you matt. And its not just because I couldn't condone spending 100k ish more on a 488. I honestly prefer the 458 and the Cali over the 488 and Cali T.
I am expecting to potentially change around xmas.
Having said that I saw /heard a Strad drive past when I was in the park with my daughter and a massive pang of envy came over me!
The sound...

There are several 'must have' options on them so no one will buy a basic one.
Looking through auto trader, I have commonly seen some 'well priced' ones. Its always for a reason.
For me - no carbon LED wheel, scuderia shields, contrast stitching, coloured rev counter, upgraded alloys and yellow calipers is suicide.

How much are those options, out of interest?

I suspect that there is no standard spec cars produced for the 488. If you could get that deal, I would have thought it would be on whatever is available and as such, the small number of cars would be from cancelled builds, dealer overstock etc and likely have more than standard spec. I've seen this a couple of times with much more mundane stuff. The question is whether you would get a sales line "we can only get a car with these extras sir so the price to get one quickly is more"

I can't understand the offer at all. It's ludicrously cheap in all ways you look at it.
10k+1100 a month. Before I came to my senses I was looking at the ghibli on PCH years ago- and that was 12k in and around 650/ month for a reasonable spec with a dealer offer.

I don't see any of these as must haves. They are okay, but not worth anything more to me. Apart from the chavy side shields, which to me, are a must not have. Okay, I'll accept that yellow calipers can look good on certain colours, but they're no big deal.

In fact, I think it's easier to spoil a Ferrari than it is to keep it stylish. But then again, all my Ferraris are blue or silver, so what do I know!

For what it's worth, I'm also in the 458 over 488 camp. In blue or grey, with tan interior.

I was wondering the above also, since I got the offer email too. The game with leasing is not going for any options as they make the whole thing much less financially appealing, so would they actually deliver a no-option 488?

Out of my reach too but I thought ~ £70 a day to drive a 488 looked pretty stonking value, especially with the cheap additional miles.

When Ferrari built the 400, there were only two optional extras available. Separate air-con in the rear, and a hi-if. How much more simple it all was then.

I seemed to have missed the email news about a lease deal on a 488. Probably a good thing too!

You are in a minority then Ewan and have dissimilar views to the majority of current ferrari owners. . Look at the ones for sale on AT and PH and you will be lucky to find many without these options- especially the side shields and wheel.
look for the ones that look a few K less than you expect them to be- that will lead you in the right direction.
