What have you done to your Maserati today?

So yesterday I decided to repaint the black highlights on the Strad front bumper which had been rattle canned “satin black” but should be Alfa 693/B Grigio Anthracite Metallic. Prepped and etch primer yesterday, today top coat and satin lacquer.
Not a perfect job, but 100% improvement from the stone pitted road rash that I started with.

Pics would be great to see.

Ordered some new floor mats for the Biturbo to match the blue interior. Also removed the rubber boot lid seal to clean all the crud out that had gathered underneath - the joys of having a Maser living on the drive instead of in the garage where it belongs!

Drank tea.

Ordered some Abarth valve caps for the Abarth 595.

Drank more tea.

Took out the rear seats, interior trims on one side and whipped out the Alarm ECU.

Sending off to be refurbished, so another niggle could well be ticked off the imperfections list.
Admirable that you're still committed to spending time and money on the car when you've resolved to sell it.

Just dropped off the 360 for a new windscreen. Huge crack from driver’s side bottom corner upwards.
To be fair it’s the first new windscreen in 22 years so not bad going at all.
New CarPlay system worked a treat with Waze and BBC app, absolutely awesome sound.

As long as they don't scratch the surround and recess (rust in a year), having a new screen after so many years will be great, all those tiny imperfections gone.

Rescheduled the trip to Chester for another month - his hood is still awaiting customs clearance, etc (although it should be through sooner - and Hoodtech have given me the tracking number - I'm tied up so can't make it sooner). According to Hoodtech 1 in 25 of imports get stuck at customs - and Roary's hood is one of those :(

That sounds medically perilous.

Anyway great that CarPlay is living up to your expectations. How do you find the floaty screen, aesthetically?
ROFL

I think it looks ok, obviously it slightly dominates being a 9 inch screen, but you can find what you need quickly and it’s extremely responsive compared to the overlay CarPlay screen on my GT. On the move it works great as it’s solid, no movement at all and is easy to use due to the size. It would be difficult to go back to a phone cradle once you’re used to this.
