What have you done to your Maserati today?

Decided it was time to start cleaning up the interior of the 3200, so I cleaned and treated most of the leather in the front. Rest of the car to do next including a long overdue deep clean of the carpets and floor mats.

Went to car club breakfast in Doune took my camera to take photos of our group and forgot to do it, doh!
However it was great to take car out, even thought it got wet!

Further to my missed opportunity to take some photos on a club outing.I did not realize a photographer was there and posted photos on our SDCCC web page, so my Babe did get her photo taken!

I put the sunshade up in the QP because I thought I had already but I didn't and it was raining and so I couldn't do a whole lot but I just wanted to sit inside it and...

Ready for the sunshine. I may even take Friday off.

Whipped the drivers seat out, took apart the seat control panel, swapped out the heated seat switch, realised what the loose white iso connector was for, hooked it up, secured it, reinstalled seat.....

Warm backside without issues for the first time.

I've gained so much confidence during Maserati ownership to have a go at upgrading and repairing things.

Invaluable life skills.

Rescheduled diary as tomorrow's trip to Chester for Roary's new roof has been postponed a month - roof not in yet and my diary is rammed (although one week is out as Roary is having his seats detailed) - hopefully he'll be very smart for Brooklands :)

I did drive the QP yesterday and surprised a young man (and his friend) in an orange Mustang who were interested in the car while stopped door to door at a light...was exchanging notes with @todd.the.submariner and the fact that I can't believe the same manufacturer is responsible for both the Coupe and the QP...

How do you mean @DLax69 ?

I've driven a qpv 4.2, but it's been so long ago I can't compare it to the 4200 or indeed my gs...
Main memories are that (a) it is big, (b) it is fast, especially taking its size into account and most of all (c) it handles way better than I expected (largely thanks to the weight distribution). Also, the noise, obviously :)

Not entirely sure how to explain.

The Coupe is just such a lo-fi machine...a cocoon with a rocket strapped to it. The QP is just more...refined...without losing any engagement.

That said...neither car feels large.

I need to check under the seat to find a spare bit of leather for sending to the Leather Care company for matching in preparation for his seat refurb

Roary I tried that and could not find a bit large enough under the seat, However the central arm rest lid. if you take the black liner on the inside of the lid (4 screws) of the arm rest off, you will find spare leather tabs enough to send to the leather co. it worked for me
