Middlesbrough is a dump!

Yep - you are right and you others who mock, yet another example of an Industrial town that the the ruling South used and exploited and never invested in and sold out when investment was required.

It is a dump, but its our dump,

I will be in the capital next weekend!

Unfortunately they hold the Army v Navy Rugby there !!!

That is one thing that worries me about brexit, the EU took a lot of money from the UK and spent some of it regenerating areas outside the M25

Will our government do the same if they gain control of all the money or with then invest it in the south East

The PM's constituency is Maidenhead, outside the M25, if that helps answer your question.

Tower Hamlets has been asset stripped hard (by the last mayor, now in legal troubles of his own), meaning we have 49% child poverty.

49% child poverty is bad.
Maidenhead however may well be outside the M25 but it is still S.E. England not the N.E. of England
I am about to drift onto the Election thread now so I will stop

Dave,

this is a forum for chat about Maserati and Maserati, as I understand it from its title. I doubt many of us come here for politics; I certainly don't. Equally I don't come on here expecting to read unfounded opinions of where I live from people that can't be bothered to visit the area but can be bothered to slag it off.

All you had to do was apologise.

I thought I had apologised in an earlier post.
Maybe not, so I will repeat I was only quoting other sources and freely admit I have not been to East End.
As I said to Felonious there was no offence intended

Dave - do you wonder if there's any correlation between people's prejudiced views of the poorest part of London and the lack of investment it receives? The S E is not one contiguous street paved with gold. So, no, you've not apologised. You've merely suggested it's someone else's view.

Hey
No offence re the Eat End, I have not been there, I was merely reporting what I had heard.
The Zonda is just ridiculous, no practical use, all mouth and trousers. There was one with gold trim (cannot remember if I posted that one) and it was real tatt
Don't suppose I will see one again though

A copy where I said no offence
but in order to try and maintain harmony I apologise

Dave - thank you. If you're ever in London again, please let me know: I'll show you a. how beautiful some of E1 is, b. the best cafe from which to watch the west end wide boys burn up their day-glo Masers, c. where the best beef restaurants are. MarkD.

Hi Dave, glad you had a good time down here in 'that London.' Did the 1812 finish with canons as well? Made me bloody levitate!

Next time you visit you should definitely get across to the East end and also take in some of the regenerated areas like King's Cross. That's where I live during the week and it's buzzing.

Not much fun for driving Maserati's though.☹️

If you like gigs then Camden for intimate small and raucous stuff or the O2 for a proper show. Then get the river taxi back up the Thames into town. Happy days!

I will be down next weekend and would love a "cultured" visit some time, as most of the time all I see is soul less, faceless people getting from A 2 B on the tube. I am sure like us up in the "badlands" o t North and Yorkshire in your enclaves you will have community spirit etc,

This visit tho' is purely for the Army v Navy rugby so I apologise in advance for being gregarious and happy and an over friendly drunk.
