I have albums after the transformation.....well I am a hard rock fan.

Earned my rock stripes at Donnington MoR (bad food and plastic bottle fights:smile:) but enjoy a mix of genres. Did someone say a while back they had recently got into Maiden? Good place to start!

MoR that takes me back :) Reading and Knebworth too. None of this Glastonbury nonsense, that was for lentil munchers! lol

Quite like a Puy lentille - but you're so right about the baby sick yellow mulch devoured by the great unwashed. Usually called Tarquin :)

Best concert ever was Queen at Knebworth. Grew up about 10 miles away - was stacking shelves at Tesco when free entry was announced on the radio. 120K tickets had been sold but an estimated 200K were there. Had seen them a couple of times before but that was special. Their last gig too. Sh*t - over 30 years ago.

Led Zeppelin 1979 for me. :)

Here endeth the lesson.

Closest I got to LZ was Jimmy Page jamming with Steve Tyler at MoR '90. Aerosmith were amazing and then, for some strange reason, Whitesnake headlined. Coverdale always had a great voice but was such a poser - try watching any video without laughing :)

Hahaha, yes I remember seeing him with Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden prior to the "hair" period, great singer, also loved his Purple stuff. I was also acquainted with a girl who "knew" him, allegedly not great in the snake department ! lol

Same here....Went to many Monsters Of Rock back in the early 80's.....First couple of gigs I ever went to were Gillan on the glory road tour, Iron Maiden on the Killers tour, Girlschool on the hit n run tour and Def Leppard on the high and dry tour..Hooked after that..

A friend of mine bought a gastro pub about 4 years ago. For the end of first year party he arranged a band to play some live music. I was quite surprised when it turned out to be Micky Moody. Sadly he didn't play any Whitesnake stuff though.

Crowded House: Woodface on the way to work. That brings back some memories

C

M.O.R

Went to Neil Finn's club in Auckland many years ago and was there to see Grant Lee Buffalo but they were delayed so Finn decided to break out into some of his dull mundane songs (Don't dream it's over) and I shouted at him to get off stage (much younger and not a single **** was given) and was also booed by the crowd :D Eventually GLB turned up and I met the band and told them how dull Finn was. Eeee to be young again :D
