Me to...Bristol with Trust the French  band support who had a very young Niko Mcbrain on drums who as we know later joined Iron Maiden. Like Niko but for me Clive Burr was the man.

Yesterday was ACDC Highway to **** going to work Thin Lzzy Jailbreak on the way back. Having a Vanage moment at the moment. Why wouldn't you with the cr*p around today.

I liked Trust.... Just thought it's a great name for a band. They could have added FFS at the beginning too
.. yes lots if rubbish about these days but I do think there was back then as well....Seeing some of it posted on this thread ... and in my 7" record collection too sadly.

Will be interesting to see how todays youth answer the same question in 20 years time. Will the power of Cowell have killed off memeorable live acts I wonder.

Indeed it is :)
Here comes the weekend.

Whenever I listen to this I see Daley Thompson drinking Lucozade.
A product sooo sugary it makes Irn Bru seem vaguely tart!

Just one of Iron Maidens best LPs.....Usually find sometimes the first is the rawest and when the band are hungry for it.......Forgot about that advert with Daley.....Just a great song Navcorr.....Used to play Prowler in the heavy metal band I was in many moons ago....We were called Asylum......Ponient because the lead singer used to be in and out of one.

Forgot about that advert with Daley..... Used to love that advert! It was always my "hill sprints" dity. 10 times up the steepest hill in town and a walk home with legs like jelly.

There is a video somewhere (very well hidden hopefully) when I played drums once. We were called The Approximations - everything we did was ... weeell ... it sort of goes like that :D

:D

This one-off was some blokes 40th in '96. A bit of a widdler in his youth apparently. A teacher who's neighbour knew my mate's Mum - my mate played bass (still does) & heard me on drums for about 2 mins over 10 years earlier. You couldn't make it up could you! Thankfully the audience were too pi**ed to notice how bad it was. A bit of a laugh though - kicked off with Brown Sugar

Two blasts from the past ....Saw Anvil in 80's.....loved Rose Tattoo's Rick n Roll Outlaw....Shame the singer is more famous for the theme song to Neighbours Kyle and Jason's marriage.

Really??? I must have missed that episode ......

Seriously, I had no idea Angry Anderson sang for their wedding and I really don't want to know any more about that:)

The tatts as well as Anvil, 'coulda' and 'shoulda' gone on to be huge but for whatever reason just didn't.
The doco called Anvil! The story of Anvil is worth a watch if you were into them Andy.

Some other Tatts songs you might like Andy - The butcher and fast Eddy, Astra Wally, Nice boys and of course Bad Boy for love...

Loving these Aussie Rockers as well gents...Just been touring over here.....yes very AC / DC but all the better for it.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AkMZ6fV3T_0

They are great live which doesn't really come across in their videos.
Sadly they are huge overseas but not well known here. On the plus side, when they do play local venues, they are small joints which makes for a better experience.

Joel (singer) has a penchant for smashing full tins of beer on his head whilst riding on someones shoulders playing a solo in the middle of the crowd.....
And women say men can't multitask........
