Took the dog for a walk this afternoon Geoff, it was 3.30 and the sun was setting, -2c and snow was lightly falling. It sounds mad but it was fun, gorgeous countryside around where we live. The dog couldn't work out what the white stuff was floating and swirling around her though. It was funny to watch.

Yes you will get some great winter days and they are lovely. We hated the lack of daylight hours in winter though. Never got used to going to and from work in the dark. Funnily enough I was up your way earlier in the year playing golf at Royal Aberdeen and Cruden Bay...paradise in summer if you are a golfer....light until 10.30pm which kind of makes up for 3.30 sunsets in winter. Are you in the oil business?

Do it Dan, a report out this week says the two best places in the world to be born..Switzerland #1 and Australia #2 ( still trying to figure out what the Swiss have that we dont apart from the Alps...

Oh I don't need convincing, it's firmly on the agenda!
I want to be moving there within 10 years. It's all down to making my business successful enough to sell for a few quid and then I'm there.

Can't think of a better place in the world for my daughter to grow up and for me to grow old :D

Can't disagree....by the way make sure you have owned and driven something special for the twelve months before you move here...if you have you can bring it in duty free and that's worth quite a few quid in your pocket.
Our kids grew up into their teens in London, New York and New Zealand and when we came back to Oz they said " why haven't we been living here all the time""...

To/from work in the dark is something I am trying to get used to but its only for a few months of the year I guess and like you mention, the long daylight for a large part of the year makes up for it. I am not a golfer at all but I know those courses, one of the guys at work lives in Cruden Bay ans is mad about the game. he sis till raving at how spectacular Trumps new course is and believe me there probably isn't a course of any significance in Scotland he hasn't played multiple times.

Yes I am in the oil game, we took the opportunity to live in the UK and see a bit of the world. Cornwall is ultimately where we want to be, shame it and Aberdeen are on opposite ends and sides of the island.

Cheers

I'm a relocated Pom to the (very) sunny shores of Brisbane! I've been here 8 years and am still yet to see another 3200 or 4200 on the road around here.....exclusivity is great!!

Im From Brisbane also!

If you own a 3200gt you are most probably the reason I am buying a 3200. I saw a 3200 a while back turning up Settlement road at the gap, it had the most amazing growl to it hence me moving into one v soon!

Hi mate

I was around that area on 22nd March (just picking my car up from Chris from Automotion who lives around there) but I have a 4200 not a 3200 in dark metallic blue (officially Nettuno Blue) but not normally around there...it'd be freaky if it was me though!!

It was you then! The 3200gt was late last year, but I do remember seeing a dark Blue 4200 over there next to waterworks road.....Im not sure if I was on the bike or in the alfa, or even the golf.....Either way I remember cause earlier that week I had seen a red coupe in Mackay!

There you go!

Well how weird is that eh?? Great stuff! If you need any help from me then just holler. I am limited in actual mechanical knowledge but have done many hours of research before buying mine that could come in useful...

I'm in Brisbane. Purchased my 2006 Gransport from Sydney last August.
I think there might be only one or two other Gransports in all of Qld but I've yet to see another...
It's cool to have something so unique.

Hi Oxytorch and welcome to the Forum and the Brisvegas section!!

At the mo, to my knowledge, it consists of just myself (4200) and Tim (Coxy13 with a 3200AC) and Tim and I often meet up to talk rubbish and have coffee so let either of us know if you want to meet up to! I am very keen to see how the GS goes as it will be a natural progression for me in time I would say and am intrigued about the differences!

Where in Brisbane are you based?

We have a small Yahoo-based Oz forum too (mainly Vic and NSW members) - pm me if you'd like the details of that. It has proved very worthwhile in the past contacts/knowledge wise for both Tim and I.

Cheers

Hey Hey!!!

Another QLD Member! Good to see!

It'd be good to catch up for a meet with you and Gary, I am still in PNG at the moment and I am heading down to Auto Italia at the end of the month, but I am sure we could manage something!

Hi Gary & Tim

Look forward to meeting up at some stage. I'm on the south side - Carindale.

But first need to get my beautiful GS running properly - not sure what's wrong - I've posted the problem in the 3200/4200/gransport forum: http://www.sportsmaserati.com/showt...24-bank-1-20-bank-2-(Maserati-Gransport-2006).

I have had it checked a couple of times by Chris at Automotion who thinks everything is OK but I know it isn't. Have just now purchased new front O2 sensors - will have to wait for them to be posted from Latvia! If this doesn't fix it, I might have to bite the bullet and take it into the Maserati dealership for diagnosis....

Gary, I will pm you about the Oz forum. Just need to figure out how to pm - I'm a forum noob.

Cheers.
John
