While cruising under the passenger side carpet...

I found this (while doing my FD DBW install). I was wondering if anyone knows what it goes to? One possibility is that as my 2002 4200 doesn't have the door post area switch to turn the air bags on and off, that this is the unused signal wire for it.

Any other suggestions? It is a yellow, paired, twisted wire with a twin connector. Currently hangs down from behind the right side of the glove box (U.S. car) under the passenger side outboard side-carpet, down to by nearly where the passenger's right ankle would be.

Every Italian car i have owned with airbags fitted have yellow airbag wires. I'm with Catman that would be my guess. Old Fiat Coupe's would have a yellow wire loose that would be used to reset the light with the diagnostic machine.

That will be the wire to the airbag isolator switch at the end of the dash, where the door touches the dash. They are famous for causing errors and maybe a previous owner disconnected it. The part is the same as in all 90/2000's Alfa Romeos, GTV/156/147/GT

Check to see if the terminals in the multiplug have been bridged.
