Our Hotpoint (part of Whirlpool) tumble dryer heating element appears to have failed.
Put the model and serial number into the Hotpoint Web site and got notified it is one of the models for recall!
I actually checked it when this was all over the news, but apparently a further batch of dryers have been added earlier this year. Ours must be one of these.
Check yours again... Just in case.
