Windscreen repair

Whilst in France last few days I picked up a tiny. Chip on the windscreen. There is no cracking and it's maybe about a couple of mm across.
Does anyone have any experience of these repairs, it seems Autoglass are the biggest at this sort of thing, and can give any opinions? It maybe that its too small to need repairing, or can something this small worsen?. Any opinions most welcome...

It's been a proven practice for many years now.
Get it done before any dirt or the weather make it worse and all should be good.

It can get worse. I've had them repaired before. Seemed to work well

Most motor insurance companies offer free repairs for chips.

I have one on my daily and will be making a call today before the frost gets at it and make it worse.

If you're in the Hereford-ish/Worcester-ish type area I have the name of a brilliant independent (name given to me by my 'contact' at autoglass) who sorted mine and probably cheaper than insurance. Agree, sort if sooner rather than later.
