Morning all, just recieved winter tyres for the family wagon (yes I know its roasting there not going on yet) from oponeo, a polish firm, very reasonable. I was dubious as to the company but everything went fine and they are by far the cheapest for this sort of thing

I ran Hankook Icebears on my 3200 last winter (no Vredesteins available - I looked too late!), and contrary to some reports they worked just fine, gripping on the icy drive and my local roads when my falkens wouldn't. That said, on tarmac they were sloppy and any serious throttle pressing led to the ASR light coming on...

I have gone for vredstein snowtrac 3, will let you know how they are. They are going on a saab 9-5 hot aero, the wifes car. Although she did inform me the steering goes funny when pressing on, I reply thats torques steer dear, just keep a firm hold or get a lighter right foot

I use Vredstein Comtrac Winters on my VW T5 and have been all over Europe during the winter and through the back end of Scotland in the harshest storms and have got through stuff where some 4x4 where getting stuck on their summer tyres.

Fab tyres...

I had Continental Winter Contacts on my 4200 last winter - they were outstanding even in snow of a couple of inches deep. Still stuggling to get winter Pirellis for the GTS.
