I really think not much more.

I would love to be proved wrong, but these engines have a hard life and the oil pumps arnt great.

They should be at least as good as the V8 in my XJR and that has 165K and still has a great engine with loads of power. Good oil and TLC should see a good life, not all rag the ar5e off them Matt??

They should give excellent service, might need bits doing now and again, but should still keep going.

Its not the engines that are an issue if looked after...The 4200 is very reliable...Its the electrics/sensors and bits around the outside that are the areas of concern I would say...Far too many sensors on Italain cars....

Thats my point andy, if people say that the engine is bulletproof but the car will still prob conk out of life soon for other reasons for me that means its not bulletproof!

Very happy with the 4200 I bought, but I wish i'd joined the Forum before buying. I'd have definitely posted the add for any car I was interested in to get views and feedback.

I wonder if it is one of those that had been hydrolocked that has been rebuilt, could be interesting, would that bolt in to the 4200 if needs be??

The engine is being offered by Modena so I'd imagine it had been properly looked at...

Yes Modena would not get involved with a piece of rubbish, I just wonder about the hydrolocked units, as there were so many of them around?
