Im on 62k ish now and the car has wanted for nothing. Used regularly and kept in garage.

I had the wheel alignment done about 3 weeks ago and the guy was very impressed with its condition he took convincing that it was an 11 year old car lol

And as you say what’s the value now? But who cares. I mean it’d be nice for it to be worth 40k-50k but when have any of us not taken hits on cars it the norm.

The GT really is a bargain buy right now. It is actually a bit strange how they haven’t held a bit of value given the looks, noise, drive Ferrari V8 engine etx etx

In some ways I think the values are fine when I look at a Merc or BMW big coupe but then I look at things like an R8 and they make the Maser look very cheap.

£950 with 82k I think but agree it was a bargain, arches have got no worse and its now on about 103k, I was offered €2k for it about 12 mths ago based on the fact it needed to be registered here and that was about €800 to the buyer. I registered it for free as an import so might be worth €2.5k . Regardless I can't see it going anywhere other than the scrapyard when something big finally fails but until then its my daily driver.

That rust was weird Andy as it never got any worse and was really hard. Sounds like it's not changed. Glad you have it buddy as I know it's in good hands. Liz still misses it. Think it was that engine.

We all have similar dilemma I think.

Ok, I have not had the same car since 2013, but just kept trading up - 2009 GTS then 2013 GT sport and then a 2013 Stradale before I ended up with a 2016 Stradale - reached end of the road I guess. There simply isn’t a good substitute at the similar price range ( or anything else in a higher price I think)

For me, the Stradale is now definitely a keeper. So rather than trading up, I ended up buying other affordable cars that I always wanted to get, so ended up with a 1995 UK Toyota Supra last year and then a very well maintained 1995 Lotus Esprit S4s...

I think this is better than trading in my Stradale to a newer and more expensive car... well, I would like to think so anyway.

given the current interest rate environment, I would like to think that this is a better way of preserving the value of my money while enjoying the cars. Well, at least that is how I convinced my wife anyway!
