Nice to see Roderick Williams back in the squirming chair again this morning , already calls for him to be sacked from his post , the guy needs to be disbarred for life and more
Isnt that confirmation bias that was talked aboutNo one, but we know from history that threads on emotive topics can escalate fast.
No. That would be if I saw conflict and tension, which I don't. But if the thread starts to drift from sensible debate - which such threads are prone to do - then it'll get closed. So if you all want a good healthy and informed discussion then keep calm, enjoy yourselves and carry on.Isnt that confirmation bias that was talked about
Seems to me Ive been hearing similar all day long from the POL hierarchy giving testimony , as in the general assumption that people will act a certain wayNo one, but we know from history that threads on emotive topics can escalate fast.
Same here for ‘interesting’ tasks and large corporations. No hiding places….. which still beggars belief that this happened. There is an addendum to a court document which goes into detail about the s/w problems - dry but fascinating.Spent most of my life building IT systems, mainly for retailers, but the idea that something like this would not show up in testing is unbelievable which then only means that parties forced through a system that was flawed. Even worse when it became apparent in the real world they tried to firstly deny it and secondly cover it up - heads should roll but it won't be the ones that should be responsible it never is, some poor IT tester will get sacked and that will be that.
Just been reading it and totally agree it's shocking.Watching van den bogard today , cant believe another senior official is bereft of a moral compass , how she managed to rise in 35 odd years so inadequately is mind boggling , as expected she has fallen into so many of her own lies and denials throughout todays testimony , in a normal world i cant see how she will escape some Scots porridge
The good news is , she's on again tomorrow morning lolWas hoping to catch today, but not managed to. I can imagine it was a car crash
