i was wondering if any of you guys would be up for a bit of fun, we can look getting started next year
the idea is to hold a little challenge of sorts,
there are a lot of cheap Italian cars for sale at the moment due to problems, i suggest we have a limit for purchasing and fixing an car.
suggested rules are:-
any car but no later than 2003,
no engine size large than 2.5.
no weight limit.
a limit of £1500 for purchasing and fixing, getting the car ready
cars to be road legal, taxed and tested.
once we are ready to go too a racetrack and race, probably open track days but if enough of us then maybe look at booking the tracks?
we run 4-6? races a year maybe one each quarter, the over all winner gets a prize eg a weekend away, payed by the other drivers/teams?
at the end of each season any driver/team can offer to buy any other drivers car for £1500 and if offered you have to sell!.
obviously the more people who want to take part the better, would suggest we do teams of a min of two people so a driver and a fixer, and the costs are split between the team.
feel free to add more ideas/suggestions.
