Can any of you tech geniuses tell me why every time I click on a link to an autotrader ad I just get a black page? Thanks in anticipation.
Well that explains why so many sites i try to visit don't load....Your wife has set up a block on your system.
HAHA.. ****.. you must have my cookie history...She has rumbled you especially the Gay Bikers on Acid Site
hahah.. problem is I am trying not too look at them.. and get a 4-door..... but they are too beautiful....You did that to tempt me didn't you?
black page, as usualHAHA.. ****.. you must have my cookie history...
Try this linky as an autotrader test https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202006160170535
That was a straight advert, no filtering etc. It was cut'n'paste from an Edge window from a Windows10 laptop, I can open it from the link from 2 different android phone on chrome. neither with the AT app and from an Ipad. it looks to be the fact you have the app installed and Android has a forwarder to the app for any URL related to the AT website.. but can't seem to handle the advert reference number when passed to their own app... 3rd world programming .. you could.. copy the URL and paste it straight in the browser....black page, as usual
Thanks, but this is happening with my laptop, does all that still apply? It could be the web cache on your phone.. you could try clearing it.. to do this.. close all open windows in chrome (square box on the title bar, the "X" each open window) close chrome and return to main phone screen. Then look for the settings app - "normally" has a cog of some kind as it's icon on Samsung HTC etc. Once you open the settings menu look for "APPS", go into that.. scroll down the list to "Chrome" then select it, scroll through the presented menu and choose "force stop" this ends the running application properly and clears it from memory. Then under that Chrome menu look for "storage", select that, once in choose the "Clear Cache" button. When it returns you to the menu come out of the Settings menu back to the main phone screen. Re-launch Chrome from the normal icon and try the URL again... Clearing cache wont get rid of any settings just cached content.. if not that then try a google search for your specific phone model + the text "websites load black screen" and there are a host of known issues for various phones and browser versions...
No, phone specific that one i'm afraid.. On your laptop try opening Edge (if windows10) and pasting the link in there... I just opened the link on a works machine and it opens fine.. are you windows10 and what browser ?Thanks, but this is happening with my laptop, does all that still apply?
