I suppose it’s down to what “sentiment” you want from a “drive”.....
To be honest (and this is my humble guv), the Granturismo is way to big and unwieldy to be able to have a proper “ drive”. So I was finding myself trying to extract that “sentiment” and performance which left me feeling like a t*t as I was driving at the wrong speed for the roads I live on...
With the GranCab Sport, I don’t feel compelled to drive in a spirited manner so I feel the car is all the better for it... for me I must add... I suppose I “waft” more..
If I want a “spirited” drive, I have other cars that I always turned to over the Strad as they gave me more “driving pleasure” and “feedback”...
I had no need for Carbon Ceramics (no matter how good they are)... I had no need for the gearbox to change at under 60 m/s at 6.5k revs (no matter how good it felt)
I got and get more pleasure from driving the 205 or R5 or even my old sh*tty Forester (ok it runs over 400 brake, 6-pots, motorsport suspension, short shift etc etc) so aligned to not actually liking the looks of the Strad, left me actually pushing myself to drive it..
That being said, it’s a great car, actually an awesome one and one I would highly recommend to anyone.
