That's great news and thanks for posting Ali355
This is my point I guess in that the UK govt knew how many they needed, knew how many they ordered and should have known how many they can get and when.
At this point when you know it isn't enough quick enough it is disrespectful to all UK citizens to either tell them anything different to what they know. Or not try all other possible avenues to decrease the rollout timeframe to what is required. I just do not trust the UK govt at all now on anything they tell me due to the complete lack of honest truthful information that has been given.
They could tell me the sky is blue and I'd have to question it at the moment. That is a sorry state of affairs. This has not just happened over days, weeks, months or even a couple of years. It has built up and happened over my 48 years on this planet and in this country.
I just do not feel they are trying hard enough, fast enough, good enough to what could be achieved if the desire or political will was there. They are just not good enough quite simply. That is not acceptable IMHO.
If we can can achieve more, quicker, better, faster then we should. We all know now as the govt and BoE have clearly shown all their cards and hands that money is not a limiting factor. They are prepared to take all and any necessary fiscal/monetary steps to do whatever is required. This is great (although the cost will need to be met at some point of course!) so the limiting factor is elsewhere. If the Oxford vaccine is what we need to do then it should be done already.
I am a very patient person more than anyone I know or have ever known.. if we need time then I have no issue with this. However I am also on the flip side a very impatient person when things can be achieved. If it can be done then we should do it. If it cannot be done and nerds time to get there through multiple steps so be it. I don't feel however that we have done anything here as quick as.we.could have.
We always seem to delay and there is a price every time for these delays. Why?
