    The end is nigh

My 26 year old lad has been coming racing with me since he was old enough to walk and has petrol running through his veins. Has now done 13 Le Mans and all the LM classics since 2006 and can’t wait for the day I let him drive it in an actual race. The DB4 will be campaigned by him when I’m too...

    Red card for Maradona

I have no interest in football whatsoever so have never heard of Sergio Aguerro and have heard of Lionel Messi but couldn’t have told you if he was Argentinian or not. Almost 40 years after returning from the Falklands I still suffer bad dreams and flashbacks on occasion from rescuing burnt and...

    Red card for Maradona

Nah. Cheat, pi..head, Cokehead and Argentinian. As a Falklands vet, the last one is the greatest insult and good riddance!

    considering a Grantorismo,

The GT/GC needs about 1.6m between jacking points and the Vanquish 1.56 so the EXT model is fine but the standard length model not. As Ian Callum is using it for his Vanquish 25 @ £500k plus donor car, it’s good enough for me which is why I bought this model

    considering a Grantorismo,

That’s a shame. It’s primarily to keep the underside and suspension of my Concours winning Vanquish clean and is what was recommended to me by Ian Callum who is using same for his £500k plus Vanquish 25 builds, so at least I know it suits that vehicle with a 2.2T SWL and the right span for the...

Rust Protection Process on 2010 GC

Managed to find them with help from Scuderia Parts. Both are £73.65 plus VAT. For anyone else that needs them P/N is 68446600 for R/H and 68446700 for L/H

Rust Protection Process on 2010 GC

I looked at that post and saw it said the steel panels behind the front arch liners were only about £50 each. I descaled and painted mine as not too bad as per photo above, but had I checked the cost I might have just replaced them. Tempted to do that now. Does anyone know the part numbers for...

    Petrol/Diesel new car ban

I get through about 100 litres of oil a week as it’s a barn conversion with vaulted ceilings so have to heat all the empty space, but at around 30p a litre at the moment, it’s half the price it was about 5 years ago. The price is always competitive, as unlike gas where you are limited to a few...

Rust Protection Process on 2010 GC

Was fitting new front pads and wear sensors (thanks for supply Zep) and given what I had seen of the metal plates behind the front wheel arch covers on the 2007 GT project on YouTube, thought I should check. The chassis had been properly descaled and treated by Rustbuster as per the start of...

    electric cars

yep, the noise, vibration and smell is all part of the magic. If electric cars do become the main means of transport then I think unexceptional ICE daily drivers will sink like a stone and be scrapped within say 10 years of the ban max. As for exotic ICE cars, then I think their future depends...

    Stradale purchased

My local Snetterton. Put the GC round there back in the summer for a laugh on a PCGB track day vs the GT3’s. Far too heavy but made a change from the DB4 and smelling the brakes after each session some of the drivers commented that I was clearly trying hard to slow it down for the corners...

    Stradale purchased

Been up here 7 years after a life based in north London and Herts. You would never believe how different life can be just 70 miles from my last place in the Home Counties. Beautiful coastline and very rural and quiet which suits me fine, but locals are very strange and drawn from a very...

    Stradale purchased

That would be the genius that is Norman Watt-Roy. I do play bass but I'm not in his league. I'm the stand in vocalist when Derek "The Draw" Hussey is unavailable. Bit of a moot point this year as no gigs! That's me in the striped jacket and Norman is the one in his trademark grey suit. That's...

    Stradale purchased

I’m around there too with my GC. Went to Wells, Brancaster, Holkham many times in the summer but SORN’d for winter now. Perhaps we can meet up with the cars next spring when the COVID madness is abating!
