I am new here and to Maserati!! I have owned many other great Italian cars though, mostly Alfa's and Lancia's.
Does anybody have parts from a 4200 02 reg oil pump? I am rebuilding a very low mileage engine which has suffered an oil pump failure. The front pump's casing has failed and siezed the rotor causing the shaft to shear off!! I have been told that this is quite common!! The other two rotors are as new.
I do not want to fit a new pump and have the failure again. I would rather use a rotor set with casing which I can check and assemble to make a perfect pump.
Does anybody have a good rotor with casing and a shaft?
Any help would be much appreciated. I am rebuilding this engine as I may be puchasing a high mileage example and I want to be ready when it goes BANG!!!
