    New goodies.....

Slightly behind the update here but glad you got to the bottom of this. Not surprised it was a fitting rather than car issue. Interesting comment about your peeling interior trim - more on my experience with that when I post up some pics of my new acquisition!

    Maserati Granturismo - advice please

All very sensible advice! Just a word of warning....... I started on the Maserati journey looking to spend £50-55k. Spent a bit of time browsing, surfing around here. Avoided the GTS due to semi auto box and in fact was thinking GT with remap.... I've bought a GTS. They are infectious and...

    Stradale

No excuse when there aren't that many models/variants. Could be an expensive mistake if they have trouble shifting it - change of wheels a must.

    +1........ Unbelievable!

    New goodies.....

I don't want to knock the organisation that fitted the tyres and balanced your wheels Andrew, but I'd let Graypaul take a look and see whether they agree with how the wheels are balanced. I'm no expert in this area but being slightly out with this can make a big difference and you aren't to...

    New goodies.....

Neptune wheels are indeed a lovely design but these are 'simply' simple with not much metal and will I'm sure look spot on when fitted. I'll be crossing my fingers for you when the KF boys are fitting the new rubber!! Look forward to seeing the pics once on the car.

I'm sure that can be arranged Matt!

    Outgoing GTS owner sign off

This is all good to hear for an imminent owner! Been doing plenty of daydreaming about Maserati ownerships whilst on my hold. Only ten days to go......

    Private Plate

Good encouragement guys! Some good reg's out there. So, cheesy 'Masa' plate or more restrained personal initials. That's the real decision here.....

    Private Plate

Views on a priavte plate conundrum..... I'm trying to decide whether to put my private plate on my GTS. For some reason I haven't bothered with my last couple of cars but decided I would this time around. It's nothing special just Prefix with initials. But..... I also have the...

    GTS getting closer

DEAL DONE! Happy with result nothing like a bit of sales negotiating being played out and I'm sure both myself and Meridien feel happy with where we got to. I'm getting the Neptune wheels, plus some paint and other bits sorted out, so won't be able to take delivery until second week of...

    GTS getting closer

Thanks BB - I'd certainly expect a £70k car to be A1 prepped. The odd touched up stone chip and light scratch/swirl have to be expected on a two year old +car - but with a front PU repaint as part of the deal I'm not being offered any incentive to deal. Have to admit I don't expect an easy...

    GTS getting closer

BB bet you are getting excited if it's on it's way. Had slightly frustrating afternoon at Meridien. Had a good look around both cars again and on balance the Granito/Avorio car just had the edge. However failed to cut a deal as yet. On close inspection both cars had their niggles. The...

    GTS getting closer

Nice P As I've posted elsewhere it's the MC Shift for me having driven both. Have to agree with Dan, but wlling to admit that I was sceptical about smoothness........ until I'd driven one.

    GTS getting closer

And if two were not enough to choose from.......... Two more GTS' have now appeared at Meridien. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2961295.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2961367.htm First one may not be my taste but second, Nero car, could be considered. Exterior is going to have to be...

    GTS getting closer

Thanks Dan. Glad I'm not buying new A's could easily get carried away with carbon goodies. My soon to be departed C4S is full of the stuff and looks gorgeous. I'm probably leaning towards the darker interior - but will try and keep an open mind when I go and see them both again. I...

    GTS getting closer

I think a dealer would replace if say 65% worn. The situation with consumables on these cars does come into consideration when comparing what's on the Market. By my reckoning buying a car with tyres/brakes/clutch all well on their way through the wear cycle can make a good couple of £k...

    GTS getting closer

That would be helpful Dan - thanks. I'll probably head down to Lyndhurst on Friday and have a good look ST both cars before trying to do a deal. BTW has anyone got any views on the expected clutch wear (per original post)?
