Thanks Paul... I have the tyre button in the panel above the rear view mirror but it doesn't seem to do anything. I've tried holding it down for a while and just pressing it briefly but it doesn't seem to do anything either way. There is nothing in the "settings" menu either about tyre...

Phew thanks for all the advice guys... with a new car (new to me) it's always worrying when you see that... it's not done it since and I've driven it a few more times... it did seem like a one off! Keeps you on your toes this car doesn't it :) haha

I'd rather do the cats but they're expensive... does anyone have any sports cats for sale then :) What is the cheapest option here...? Can these just not be bypassed rather than sports cats fitted? I know someone mentioned the sensors in them will cause the car to go into "limp" mode or...

As above is my 2004 QP (04 plate) likely to have TPMS? The new wheels I bought have the sensors in apparently so if the car can't make use of them I can whip them out and sell them on ebay... Anyone have any knowledge of this? Cheers Nick

Exhausts not noticeably sooty either... Not sure what "normal" is so hard to gauge...

Definitively smoke, it smelt like oil and I recognise the difference... Stem ensued as normal after the smoke had cleared... I guess just monitor and hope it doesn't happen again. No warning lights but you never know what a previous owner has covered up! It was PPI'd by a specialist so...

p.s I added the GTS wheels day one, bought or £1,300 fully refurbished with 6mm tread winter Pirelli tyres - very happy with that price! :)

Hi all! New QP 2004 owner here! Posted a few times already but here's my "official" intro :) LOVE the car so far, amazing drive and super happy! Couple of questions pending on other threads but so far massively impressed with the amount of car you get for your money! Hopefully the pic...

FYI just tested again for 3rd time and no smoke at all....

New car, scared! This morning I started up the QP (2004 53k on the clock fsh) and got a reasonable cloud of smoke out the back - much to my panic! It was only on startup and went almost immediately... It hadn't happened the previous 6-7 times I've driven it since picking it up on thurs...

Why don't we find a fabricator and buy a bulk load of the right pipe and get some of these made up? Noor surely we could do this and save a packet on the larni ones... If you (or another parts dealer) could co-ordinate then you can build in he same margin as you make on the larni units and we'd...

Noor - I want the most "cost effective" volume upgrade and the cats and back box are way more expensive than an x-pipe and panel air filter it seems unless anyone knows of any cheaper systems at all?

I 'm sure by removing a main muffler on the car will make it louder... It made a Hugh difference on my R35 GTR :) Have you had one fitted Simon? If you're not happy with it you could always sell it to me ;)

Thanks guys the battery seems fine and it does seem to be intermittent! I.e. I'll get back in the car after a break for another journey and it will be off but after driving for a while it might come back on again! Loose connection could be it from these symptoms I recon...

So only had the car a 2 days and probs already :( Anyone had this before? I'm guessing garage will want to replace the air bag at significant cost??? Any tips / advise appreciated! Thanks Nick
