The owner of a 2008 grey Maserati has had an anxious 24 hours after his car was stolen yesterday.

At around 2pm the 29-year-old owner had the Maserati stolen from his workplace on Hay Street in Subiaco.

The offenders entered the underground car park of the man's workplace and stole the $180,000 car.

Police believe the thieves were responsible for a burglary on the man's Subiaco home at around 1.15pm that day and worked out where the man works.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has seen the car is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Time for the Ozzie revolution!!!!!

You talking about me!! :)

Seriously they won't get far unless they ship it out the country very fast to the middle east... there are so few of these cars in Aus you could not avoid being seen by someone very soon...

It really is taking the PI55........if you're a high earner......why don't they make do with just taxing you, rather than punitive populist taxes on supposed gas guzzlers...........not fair

I agree Frank, that seems an unfair tax on enjoyment. Hope he get's his car back!
That equates to around £116K

What they need to do is make it a first nation issue and ask the Aborigines to complain....discriminates against them..............;)

It's a mockary to think that these measures are in place to 'protect' the Aus' car manufacturers.... That'll be Ford of Australia, Holden (a subsiduary of GM) - So what are they protecting?

I see this car every day, it's parked in the undercover space in the building opposite us. Unfortunately, it is an unsecured carpark so anyone off the street can walk up to it.

29yo eh, nice work if you can get it!!

....their ultra hypocritical green/social status ...typical political elite nonsense....

P

Nothing green about Australia. Nice place but too many CO2 miles to import anything/go there.

The ultra high car import tax is to stop rappers moving there.

Gotta laugh at the horrendously expensive prices we have to fork out for a new Maser - Granturismo or Quattroporte. And that's with the Australian dollar on parity with the US Greenback. Crazy stuff.

Wonder how our American and UK friends would feel about having to pay US $350,000 for a new Maser.

Need to change countries fast! lol
