The only major issue will 42s and GS of that age is subframe corrosion. Suspension parts are repairable but are getting scarce too.
It's almost as though Maserati want you to buy a new one.

Lol, yes. I’m having first hand experience of this.. my GS subframe is A-OK, but a pair of rear springs aren’t in stock with Eurospares… I’ve ordered a set, but not sure on their lead times.

So, I've checked this car out. MOT history generally pretty good. Nothing drastic. Spoke to garage that has maintained it and they say its a good one with anything that needs to be done, has been done.
However, no big ticket items replaced. No sign of clutch replacement, heater matrix is original but seems okay and no record of suspension work.
Serviced every year apparently and some minor stuff done. Nice spec! Oh yes, comes with a 12 month warranty (of sorts!)
