I think this is a car that a friend of Benny, called Shane was looking at. Shane in the end opted to by mine at a higher price, but I sold it before he could come see it.

Talking to him about this cheap car, it needed service, tax, brakes, and tyres so when you add al that in, it was not cheap as it needed best part of £5k spending on it.

I'd say it trades around £43k or so.

Hmmmm, maybe £37K by April next year. The question is will GS values hold strong? Demand from Down Under seems to be holding GS values up.
I think we will be having a chat after Christmas Richard !

Gransport prices are still strong, lots of demand. GTS at £37k in Spring, no chance, they're £50k retail now if they don't require spend like the formentioned car. I'd say the lowest they'll be by April will be £43-44k retail for a 20000 mile car.

And I reckon it will still be on sale for quite a while to come. IMO, because of the miles, that needs to be below the magic £40k to sell.

I enquired about the car in the first post, I'm still waiting for him to get back to me 3 weeks later, no wonder it's still for sale

They're not really commanding any price difference, in fact the fully auto car is probably more desirable for many. Hardcore petrol heads and Maserati fans like us want an mc shift, but many £50k GTS customers have stepped out of a diesel XF, a Bentley or BMW or even an S Class. They're happier with the auto and more bothered about Bluetooth and Nav than gearboxes. The fact that there are far fewer autos about means they hold money and the glut of mc shift cars will probably see them fall lower. It's been discussed many times about DS v ZF on a QP, each to their own, but plenty of customers from other brands are happy with a ZF even though it's not as pure and sacrifices 50/50 weight distribution and some driver involvement.

more bothered about Bluetooth and Nav

Ain't that the truth. I'm amazed car manufacturers don't see this.

In the overall cost of bringing a new vehicle to the market, getting the nav and the bluetooth to work must be buttons; it's a real missed opportunity that so many manufacturers are stumbling on.
