I have a left side light warning coming up, side light is fine but the red LED strip on the tail light is out, it happened a couple of days ago and a quick tap got it working. Any suggestions on whether this might be a wiring thing or whether need a replacement. If its replacement is it the whole fitting or just the LED strip? Thanks in advance I have only had the car a week, but loving it so far!

Could be the any of the above, bit from you tapping it to work, I would say a dry joint on the circuit board or a loose connector.

Check the connectors, remove and clean if necessary, contacts can get dirty or corroded. If that doesn't work, check that you have the correct voltage (probably 12V) at the connector, check that you have a good earth too. I take it that you have checked the fuses.

Update, with a bit of a wiggle of the unit the light is back on, so I am assuming a bad connection/dry joint. I will investigate further and update :)
