I'm off to bed shortly as I'm flying to Glasgow in the morning to take part in the 3 peaks challenge.
I'm not daft enough to climb the mountains like my friends, but I am doing all the driving and team support for the 4 guys who are either fitter than me or perhaps crazier!
The 3 Peaks challenge entails climbing the 3 highest mountains in the UK within a 24 hour period. We're starting with Ben Nevis tomorrow afternoon/evening, following up with Scafell Pike in the Lake District and finishing at Snowdonia on Monday evening. Total distance to be covered from collecting our vehicle at Glasgow airport to getting home sometime on Tuesday is almost 1000 miles. I can see sales of Red Bull increasing dramatically over the next couple of days as I try to keep these guys watered, fed and motivated as well as fitting in naps between climbs. Wish us luck, it's all being done in aid of the children's charity Barnado's.
