That is in mega condition. Pretty sad and pathetic the owner has never used the bloody thing.

It is a waste but it does say it is from a collector of exotic cars and with most collectors they have too many cars and don't do the miles............If you want a car to use then a higher miles one would maybe be more reliable...This is an ideal car for someone to have in a collection and to keep it that way....

I think that should sell - I'd pay a few grand premium if I wanted the best, but it would need an inspection to check it's been properly maintained to counteract the assumed long periods of inactivity.

Re prices, Benny's comment re approaching 4200 prices doesn't really stack up for me - a good late 3200 is now worth more than an early 4200. Each have their merits, but the 3200 wins for me if I had to choose one, for various reasons that I won't put for fear of de-railing this thread! (and I have one of each, so I'm not biased!).

Although there aren't many AC's left it's the better ones like the subject black one and Pibbow's which should stay ahead of the game (Dem's too - providing he polishes it to my satisfaction LOL).

Nig, If someone is willing to pay 4200 prices for a 3200 then, of course, they will and good luck to them if its what they want to do. I was only having a gentle josh with our 3200 brothers, hence the smiley face at the end of my post. No offence meant.

I think that over time a good 3200 prices will over take the 4200 as it will be the collectable car over the 2....Its the car that will be remembered for putting Maserati on the map again and this means something for collectors of classic cars...

I agree Andy, and within that the AC will be particularly coveted which is why I rate the 5000 miler so highly.

Not sure why you'd think I might be taking offence! As I said, I have both so am not championing one over the other. However, like for like I think the 3200 is already starting to overtake price-wise....a 2002 3200 is probably worth as much if not more than the same age 4200. The 3200 vs 4200 is an age old discussion, hence not wanting to get drawn into my views on each on this thread!

Yes Phil...Anyone that has a well looked after AC maybe should hang on to her as they ain't going to drop any further and will no doubt rise in the future.

An AC wont drop in price now, they might not go up for a few years but the mid teens looks to be where they will stay for a while

I'm in the 'not good to have it sitting around' camp I'm afraid. Even just letting the engine 'run up' and tick over whilst in the garage is not good for it at all.
I'm slightly worried about its oil pressure reading too...

Agree Jonof....better to have a well used one than a garage Queen..Unless you want to keep as collection.....Ideal car.

Oh yes.....i made the right choice alright......
Not many ACs around, with this one & pibbows they are 2 of the best your going to get.
If i wanted to sell ill have to wait till they both go as for me pibbows is a beaut.....
