With the apparent number of 3200's being scrapped due to engine failure, and selling cheaply, I'm surprised a different engine has not be fitted.
Okay I can hear "burn him!" "ban him!" but taking that aside, the 3200 has a traditional gearbox mounted to the back of the engine, unlike the more complex 4200 with its rear gearbox and torque tube arrangement.
Maybe a big Chevy V8, BMW V8, Lexus V8, or even a Jaguar V8, supercharged, could make an interesting project.
It wouldn't be easy, but quite possible I would think.
They fit Chevy V8's to other cars much more difficult to convert, for one, plenty of room for the engine, and if supercharged the intercoolers could be retained.
Just a thought.....
