Just a quick one..
Has anyone stripped their headlights down ? Opened them up ?
Spent last night waying it up and have had a go.
I know it may have been covered before, so before I go blah blah blahing......
Has anyone posted pics....shown how to do it without breaking or cutting anything ?

I think Loz did this when he bought a salvage unit and had to have it repainted.

Worth a PM

I thought they were sealed units? I did do this on my TVR Tamora because they had moisture inside one of them, very similar looking unit to the 3200, unfortunately I didn't think to take pictures.

Nick,
Spent 3hrs last night with a hobby kit, 2 screwdrivers and hey presto.....removed lenses without any cutting / damage to the housing.
Yep they are sealed units....but sealed units can be unsealed....just takes time and patience, which I have atm :)
Just waiting on loz......if he's got some pics, all well and good if not I'll post pics :)

Started by getting craft knife into lense/housing, working from first pic around to last pic. Patience needed here, it's painful but well worth it :) Be very carefull when you get to the last lug it's has a spot of glue on it !

Stage 1 now complete :) no damage......birds fed up with me swearing at them tho.
Now for the hard work....getting these clean !
More on this one......no LOZ can't bring myself to spraying them any other colour than Silver !!

Nope it's just stuck in with the mastic......loads of the stuff !!!
You just have to be a little carefull as the coloured lens has 3 lugs that are attached to the housing. The light lens and the coloured lens are masticed together at these points :(
A couple of screwdrivers and a good hobbykit is all that's needed to do the operation !
