Was up at my mate's garage to ... some know him as mad Chris. He had a silver 3200 auto on the forecourt ... it wasn't for sale unfortunately was just in to have some work done to it ... we both stood there staring at it for about 15 mins, nit really saying much just tyhe odd comment about the detail on the car ... we then both came ot the conclusion that it was perfect and extremely beautiful ... It's detail from the tail lights to the bonnet vents to the grill just had us captivated.

Now I had a 3200 but never really seen it in this light before ... new it was lovely but with age it has come into it's own. This car looks pure .... The 4200 is lovely but as we all know losing the rear lights was a massive mistake and for me the bonnet vents also. I always thought that the AC would be the coverted car with the standard 3200 taking 2nd place but now I'm not sure as I think both will be coverted in years to come. I always think that pics do not do the 3200 justice as its a smaller car in the flesh than pics tell you .... It just seems to be the right size for this type of car, big enough for comfort and small enough to have fun in the bends which the GT has moved away from. Maserati will never make a car like this again as they are just getting bigger which is fine but we should all sing the praises of this car as it relit the passion in the marque...

Sorry to go on but just had a Maserati passion moment today .... Mad Chris never got it fully but he does now ... So much so that I think he is heading towards becoming an Italian car specialist .... He has a Ferrari 360 for sale currently and both of us never gave it a 2nd glance ... Just the 3200. God I love this car.....

Glad you had a nice quiet moment with a 3200 Andy, i agree with what you said about the lights, it is the defining feature of the car and i dont get why they were changed. If he ends up becoming a Ferrari specialist then that will be great. Do you go to Chris's every weekend?

No, just when I have a chance ... He will probably go more Alfa as bread and butter and early Maserati..3200/4200/GS/QP .... He has sold a few 3200/4200 and QP in the last 4 years. He's just thinking about it at the moment ... For me it would be great to have him concentrate more on Italian cars...Then I would be there every week.

M6 not sold just came in today .. I was there as he drove up in it .. He had taken it for a blast around the Wye Valley and came back blow away ... He said he wasn't fussed on the E60 M5 and although the M6 is the same engine he said it felt faster and better to drive ... Its bloody immaculate as well... Lovely... Thought Dem would like this....

It is Blue so dem may not be a fan as he likes Black, i think that 360 is a real mint one, it looks in great condition.

The one he has just bought is a blue 360 .. He had it in before. It has the optional sports seats which just look stunning.

3200 is the best out the maserati 4200 or GS interms of looks, only for the rear and vents...we know the GS is a better car as thats the car i want to get into but with the 3200 good points...

GS is stunning Dem and the one I would have .. But the 3200 is a cleaner design as with all originals.

I personally prefer the GS/late 4200 front end and bonnet without the vents. I like the way the bonnet humps up and actually serves a purpose as it stops stones damaging all of the bonnet and windscreen. I also prefer the side skirts, bigger wheels and the interior. Moving onto the rear, yes, the 32 has that one. Where the GS falls down for me is the use of PVC instead of leather in the interior and the lack of am armrest between the drivers and passenger seat. I do prefer the carbon centre consul but they could had had a flip down armrest like my 156 has....I have a certain driving position for cruising and do miss the armrest.

All just my opinion, and I have owned both cars and the GS is leagues ahead, but has lost a little of the 32 magic.

The best combo for me is the GS with the 32 rear lights and I know that Dem has his sights on doing this.

Remember Dem, mines up for sale, unofficially now but really in the Spring of 2011, it has all the toys, DBW (£1k), Full Larini (£4k), Exhaust remote valve controll (you can open or close the vales in the exhaust independently of the sports button) Alpine speaker upgrade with crossovers and Dyanmat sound deadening (£400) Becker Grand Prix head unit with hands free phone (£300) FSH, unmarked alloys, grey metallic with full red leather/black carpets. FSH 32k miles offers? I also have the GS OEM exhaust so can be included, swapped or sold.

Its begging to have the rear light conversion!!!!!
